STOP bullying

At Bude Junior School we use STOP to both define bullying and explain how to challenge it.

BULLYING can be defined as a range of unkind behaviours that happen:

S  EVERAL
T  IMES
O  N
P  URPOSE

If our pupils feel as if they are being bullied, or aware of other pupils being bullied, we encourage them to:

S  TART
T  ELLING
O  THER
P  EOPLE

This is due to an understanding that in order to STOP the bullying behaviour it must be challenged.

This would include talking to the pupil’s SAFE ADULT – a trusted adult within school that the child is confident enough to choose to talk to about such unacceptable behaviour.
