Dear Parents /Carers,
We are holding the first ever Bude Primary Federation Charity event on Friday 12th May and want it to be an amazing day of walking/jogging/running a mile around our school field to raise lots of money for Muscular Dystrophy UK.
THIS WILL BE A NON-SCHOOL UNIFORM DAY FOR A DONATION TO THE CHARITY WITH A THEME OF ‘DRESS IN ORANGE’!
What is MD? It is a term used for a collection of muscle wasting conditions.
Why this charity? We have 3 children in the Federation who have been diagnosed with muscle wasting conditions and we want to raise funds for vital research and support for families affected.
‘Move a Mile’ for Muscles is a fun way where we can all come together, get active and raise money!
MD UK are fully behind our event and we will be having a special assembly about the charity before and after the event. Not only that, we have been given amazing prizes to encourage your fundraising and getting sponsors!
- Raise over £5 – receive a ‘I moved a Mile for Muscles’ badge!
- Top 10 fundraisers – receive a MD Teddy key ring!
- Raise over £20 – entered into a prize draw for an England football signed by Jack Wilshere!
Attached is your sponsor form. We are really excited about this special event and here’s to raising ‘lots of dosh’ for Muscular Dystrophy UK and our local Bude Federation families affected. For more information, check out their website: www.musculardystrophyuk.org/about-muscle-wasting-conditions/
If you have any questions, just pop into the school offices and ask! On the day itself, we would be grateful for offers of help to set up, count laps and clear away. If this is possible, please let office staff know. Many thanks!
Yours in ‘ Moving a Mile for Muscles’
