Welcome To Year Six…

We have had an incredible two days at Adventure International

“I loved canoeing because me and Lily managed to stand on the edges without falling in! However I did fall in when Alex pushed the boat while I was standing up.” Amaya

Summer in Year Six!

Our main topic this term is our local study ‘Kernow’. Although it has a geographical slant it will have many cross curricular links. We will be out and about as often as we can making use of the wonderful area we live in. If you can help out with the offsite activities please let us know.

In science we are focussing on evolution and inheritance and forces.

In PE we will be playing kwik cricket, rounders, tennis and athletics as well as a swimming block.

Obviously we have SATs starting on the 8th of May. We feel the children have worked incredibly hard this year and the tests should be seen as a chance for them to show off their knowledge.

As the term progresses the children will have the opportunity to meet several members of staff from Budehaven and will get a visit from a variety of their staff.

We will also be building up to the end of the year activities. Although it seems a long way off the time will fly by (especially after SATs). I hope the children will really get involved and put in 100% commitment into what will be their final experiences of Bude Junior School.

Please come and see us if you have any questions about your child’s last term at Bude Junior. We will try to make it as memorable as we can.
